ZAC des Casernes

The ZAC des Casernes is a complex site with a certain number

of invariants, not only due to its urban condition, with the already-there,

porosity, and ongoing projects, but also due to evolving expectations, such as

citizenship, sustainable development, diversity, and programming. Our approach will be based on fictional urban planning, allowing us to imagine and discuss these invariants: “what if?”.

This approach will allow us to question the room for maneuver

in order to objectify the project decisions. The “what ifs” will be declined to have a variety of ways to answer the question asked, and will have diagrams illustrating the statements made. The declined “what ifs” can be chosen à la carte and form a unique project intention that will accompany our fundamentals.
